Heritage Envelopes have built on the success of their previous FTA Excellence in Flexography award and received gold in 2015. The Flexographic Technical Association held their global awards this year in Nashville, USA and Heritage Envelopes received the 3 awards following nominations in the ‘Envelope, Line, Uncoated’ category and the ‘Envelope, Screen, Uncoated’ category.

Again, the Lancashire based envelope manufacturer has performed on a world stage which involved a comprehensive panel of industry judges who consider not only the best flexo jobs but also flexography’s continual improvement in quality and capability, year after year. The group of judges were tasked with evaluating entries from around the world, each job depending on the degree of difficulty and consistency within selected categories including the complexity of print, registration tolerances and substrate printability amongst other added criteria.

Mark Sears, CEO of UK based Heritage Envelopes and UK operations for Mayer-Kuvert-network, received the awards in person and commented, “We are delighted to have received recognition for the advances we have made in flexographic envelope printing and against other manufacturers across the globe. There is increasing demand from customers for high quality flexographic images and in an increasingly demanding market we must not only react to this demand but work harder to pro-actively push the boundaries of our capabilities, especially in a market where Direct Mail is experiencing a revival in an internet driven world.”

The Studio Department at Heritage headed by Claire Clarke has worked with the Technicians and Works Manager, Tommy Cathie to utilise the ongoing investment the business is making to implement the systems and processes required to achieve the high quality images which, Heritage are producing on a daily basis for customers throughout the mailing and print industries.
