The Hive Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards 2016 took place at the magnificent Blackburn Cathedral on Thursday 26 May 2016, celebrating the very best businesses of the borough. Representatives of Heritage attended the ceremony on behalf of the company, who were proud to be both sponsors and competitors in this year’s awards.

The Business Awards are judged by panels made up of independent business experts and sponsors from the local business community. Tommy Cathie, Factory Manager of Heritage, was approached to be on the judging panel for the awards for a second consecutive year. Tommy was also asked to present The Young Employee Award at the ceremony, sponsored by Heritage, who firmly believes in the need to recognise and reward young talent developing in the local business community. Congratulations to Courtney Wright, employee of Bootstrap Enterprise, who was the successful winner of the award on the night.

Although Heritage were unsuccessful in securing the Innovation Award on the night, they were proud to be part of the local celebrations and are already looking forward into 2017 where they hope to be more successful…
